Kawa Hot Bath Experience at Samal Mango Haven

I have always wanted to try the hot kawa bath in Antique and guess what! The first ever hot kawa bath in Mindanao is now a 15-minute barge away from Davao City. How cool is that?!

Samal Mango Haven offers a variety of amenities that would help you de-stress and chill. It is located at Brgy. Camudmud, Samal Island. It is surrounded with mango trees and no wonder how they came up with the resort's name. If you are looking for beach, this resort is not for you since it is only an inland resort but they also have two pools for you and the kiddos to enjoy.

Upon entering the resort, you will be accommodated by kind and friendly staff. You will then be guided to your respective cottages after filling out the registration sheet. In our case, they gave us a cottage for free since there are only a few guests. We got lucky! *winks* The day tour rate is for Php 299 only and it is already inclusive of a welcome drink, complimentary meal, and an access to all amenities.

Every corner is filled with quotes about positivity and you couldn’t resist taking photos because the whole place is instagrammable! If you wish to stay there overnight, they also have rooms that you could choose from. Prices range from Php300-Php4000 only. Make sure to bring your repellent lotions because there are a lot of mosquitoes in the area.

We also didn’t miss the chance to try the hot kawa bath for Php 299 only and it is good for 30 minutes. If you are not into hot bath, don’t cha worry child. They also offer outdoor bubble bath for Php 299 and is good for an hour. How relaxing does that sound, right?

It will take 30-45 minutes for the staff to prepare your kawa for the hot bath. If you are not like me who could tolerate hot baths, you could request the assigned staff to lessen the temperature by putting more water into your kawa. I personally love how relaxing this experience was.

Here are the benefits of Kawa Hot Bath.

They serve meals with a touch of mango. You will be given options to choose from for your complimentary meals - chicken, pork, or fish. They also have a restaurant where you could order food and beverages. I bet they don't have corkage because we were able to bring food and chips from outside.

Apart from that, these are also the amenities you could enjoy in the resort.

•Japanese Cave
•Garden Function Hall
•Kawa Hot Bath
•Swimming pool (4 ft for adults)
•Massage
•Mini Gazebo
•Obstacle Course
•Mango Rooms

HOW TO GET THERE?

Take a barge from Sasa Wharf bound to Samal City. Upon reaching Samal City, if you’re bringing your own vehicle, you just have to drive left to Brgy. Camudmud. The resort is just easy to find since the signage is very visible from the road. If you are commuting, ride a motorcycle (habal-habal) or tricycle to bring you to Samal Mango Haven near the Pacific Heights.
