Cetaphil National Healthy Skin Mission

Nothing feels better when you have a healthy skin. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a glass skin because a consistent and plump skin is also a sign of healthy and well hydrated skin.

For over 70 years, Cetaphil has always been the most prescribed skin care brand by dermatologists in the Philippines. Cetaphil, in partnership with Watsons, launched National Healthy Skin Mission. This is an educational campaign that aims to educate Filipinos on how to achieve healthy skin.

Dr. Kristy Alo, MD started the afterrnon talking about Atopic Dermatitis. Besides acne and pimples, this is one of the problems faced by Dermatologists. It is a highly pruritic inflammatory skin disease usually caused by genetics, defects in the immune system, and decrease response in mircrobial particles.

Some trigger factors:

Milk, cheese, yogurt, and nuts
Heat, perspiration, and dry environment
Emotional stress
Exposure to high chemicals, cigarette smoke, and dust

Practical tips in Cleansing and Moisturizing

Limit bath time to around 5-10 minutes
Use warm, not hot, water
Pat skin partially dry with a towel. Avoid rubbing it
Apply medicine when skin is almost dry then layer moisturizer within 30 minutes after taking a bath
Apply moisturizer at least twice a day and apply along the direction of hair growth

There were a lot of discounts and good deals in selected Cetaphil products! Such a good steal!

Everyone was encourage to bring their empty cleanser bottles and swap it with a 60ml Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser for free!

As part of Cetaphil’s purpose to improve Filipinos’ lives through a healthy skin, a three-day campaign was held at SM City Cebu from September 27-29, 2019. Earlier today, September 28, 2019, Kaye Abad and Bea Soriano joined us for a talk where they shared their personal experiences as mommies in taking care of their children’s skin and their own as well.
